Academic Testing

If you have made a reservation to take a language placement or math credit exam and received a confirmation email this week, be sure to attend the academic testing session for which you have been scheduled. If you have testing related questions or need to make a late reservation for an exam, please contact First Year of Studies.

Student Services Open House

What's better than putting all of a student's available resources together in one location during your first day on campus? The Student Services Open House in the LaFortune Student Center does just that. Make sure to stop by to check out tables featuring the Student Activities Office, Gender Relations Center, Multicultural Student Programs and Services, University Health Services, University Counseling Center, and McDonald Center for Student Well-Being.

Official University Welcome

Join your fellow classmates and family members in this can't-miss welcome event at Purcell Pavilion. The Official University Welcome will kick off your career as a Notre Dame student with the Class of 2021! Featured guests will include University President, Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., Vice President of Student Affairs, Erin Hoffmann-Harding, Dean of the First Year of Studies, Dr. Hugh Page, Student Body President and Vice President, Becca Blais and Sib Shewit, the Notre Dame Combined Choirs, and the Notre Dame Marching Band.

Welcome Cookout

Don't miss the chance to break bread with the Class of 2021 at the Welcome Cookout immediately following the Official Univerity Welcome! Students and families will be assigned a meal time based on their First Year Advisor Session time.

Welcome Weekend is a fun and exciting time for students and families alike! To help you "take it all in," join McDonald Center for Student Well-Being and RecSports to start your weekend mornings by giving yourself a moment to reflect, relax, and recharge at your choice of two wellness events - yoga or a group walk. All are welcome - no previous experience is necessary and mats will be provided. See you bright and early on South Quad!

Let your collegiate academic experience begin! This mandatory event for all first-year students will provide an exciting window into the world of the Moreau First Year Experience - a course designed to aid students' transition to undergraduate life at Notre Dame. One of the can't-miss events of Welcome Weekend, Domerfest provides a carnival atmosphere of fun, games, food, inflatables, and music for all first-year students. Make sure to wear your residence hall shirt to gain entrance and show your hall pride! Giveaways will happen at the end of the night so make sure you stick around. Sponsored by the Student Activities Office.

New & Gold Scrimmage

Make your way to Notre Dame Stadium for a first look at the new and improved game day experience! The New & Gold Game will feature a Fighting Irish scrimmage, a performance by the Notre Dame Marching Band, and participation from the Notre Dame cheerleaders. Enjoy the latest stadium enhancements including new and wider seating, a Diamond Vision high-definition video board and sideline ribbon boards, upgraded concession stands, and a new concourse design.

Now in its second year, the Day of Community will introduce you to a wide array of organizations throughout the South Bend area, emphasizing service, education, and arts & culture. You will become familiar with the great work being done in South Bend and learn about opportunities to get involved during your time at ND. Destinations will be assigned per residence hall.
