Why did you want to be part of Notre Dame's Orientation Steering Committee?
Over the past three years, I have taken many rigorous classes and spoken with professors who are vanguards in their fields. While this has been challenging and rewarding, the most impactful part of college has been the people I have encountered. It is my peers who have pushed me, listened to me, laughed with me, who have cried with me and held me and loved me, that has made Notre Dame an unbelievable adventure.
I wanted to be a member of OSC because I wanted to help shape the way we welcome our greatest asset - our people. I have previously participated as an ambassador (2014) and captain (2015) of Pasquerilla’s East Welcome Weekend Team, and this year I have enjoyed taking on a more systemic role. I hope through the OSC’s hard work that we can help make someone else’s college experience as positive and impactful as mine has been
What is one of your favorite guilty pleasure songs or artists?
One Direction. Are their songs unique? Not really. Do they write their own music? Nope. Do their lyrics challenge the listener to reflect and examine their world view/life philosophy/purpose in life? Far from it. Are their songs catchy? Incredibly.
What is the one item that you brought with you to college that you were really grateful you decided to pack?
Command Hooks, and I don’t mean a measly little 3 pack. I mean go-to-Costco-and-get-the-largest-box-you-can-find pack. Seriously.
