Why did you want to be part of Notre Dame's Orientation Steering Committee?
I wanted to be a member of the the OSC because I love this University and want to share it in the most positive way I can with as many people as I can. The first few days of exposure to University life are extremely important for both students and parents. Right from the start, both groups are forming life-long relationships, especially so in the case of the students. On the OSC, we strive to make sure this vital part of the welcome experience is as seamless as possible by working with both student leaders and administration to fix flaws in previous orientation programs while still maintaining the rich history and tradition that defines our University.
What is one of your favorite guilty pleasure songs or artists?
I get hype listening to the Tarzan soundtrack, no shame.
What is the one item that you brought with you to college that you were really grateful you decided to pack?
I'm actually glad I brought a hot water heater, not only because of the necessity of daily coffee in the morning, but also for providing hot water for making tea. This past year my roommates and I had a cabinet strictly for different types of tea, and even had a tea party during senior week, complete with baguettes, meats and cheeses, various fruits and veggies, you name it. We're thinking of making it a monthly event, so if you're interested let me know and I'll shoot an invite your way.
