Why did you want to be part of Notre Dame's Orientation Steering Committee?
Once I got through my first year at Notre Dame, I decided to apply to be a Welcome Weekend Ambassador for Lewis Hall, and the following year I applied to be Captain. I realized I wanted to be part of that first, formative weekend here at Notre Dame, this time by planning activities for others to ensure they had as great of an experience during their first weekend as I did. I'm serving on the Orientation Steering Committee because I want to continue along this path, this time in a more systemic role. I know what it's like to be a nervous and unsure first-year student, an excited and sociable sophomore ambassador, and a stressed out but rewarded residence hall captain, so I wanted to apply my experience in the most fitting role I believe exists.
What is one of your favorite guilty pleasure songs or artists?
Grace Kelly by MIKA. Or Lollipop by MIKA. Or I guess just MIKA in general.
What is the one item that you brought with you to college that you were really grateful you decided to pack?
Masking tape for sure. My roommates and I decided to cover every inch of our walls with posters and we went through so many rolls of the stuff. Worth it, though - the white walls can be so drab if you leave them as is.
