School of Architecture Academic Exploration Sessions Blue Program

Blue Program - August 5th  (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

 

The School of Architecture welcomes incoming students intending to study Architecture to participate in a virtual orientation session, organized in three parts:

  Dean's Welcome and Program Overview
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM This program will include remarks by Stefanos Polyzoides, Francis and Kathleen Rooney Dean, and presentations about Walsh Family Hall, the undergraduate curriculum, Rome Studies Program, careers and internships, and ways to get engaged outside the classroom. 

 

  Faculty Panel
10:15 AM - 11:50 AM Five Architecture professors will speak briefly on topics including Studio and Professional Practice, Research Opportunities, Sustainability and Urbanism, and the City of Rome, followed by Q&A.

 

  Resources for Architecture Students
11:30 AM - 12:00 PM  This session will highlight special resources available to Architecture students, including the Architecture Library collections and services, discipline-specific computer softwares and equipment, and care and wellness resources.

 


Other Programming

First-year Architecture students are invited to join small group tours of Walsh Family Hall, including their drawing studio, classrooms, Digital Design Studio, and the Hall of Casts. These will be happening on August 8th, from 2pm-5pm. Tours depart every half hour. Students must register in advance for this event, click here to sign up!
