Academic Testing

For those who are interested in taking a credit exam for Mathematics and for those who need to take a placement exam for a foreign language in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, the First Year of Studies offers testing during Welcome Weekend.

There is no fee for taking a placement or credit exam. If you're interested in both the math credit exam and the language placement exam, please register for language placement. Then, email your first-year advisor to make arrangements for taking the math exam at an alternate time. (Note: placement exams for foreign languages not listed here are available online throughout the summer.) Registration is done in advance online. If you have questions about whether you need to take an exam or need to register, please email the First Year of Studies.
