Why did you want to be part of Notre Dame's Orientation Steering Committee?

Why I wanted to be part of the Orientation Steering Committee is as simply and easy as this. Because I love Notre Dame. These first two years at this university have been absolutely incredible. It's only natural for me to want to share that with as many people as I can. Last year, I was a Co-Captain for Morrissey Manor with my roommate, and it was a great experience. It was incredibly fun and rewarding to welcome in the First-Year students into our hall community, teaching them the hall traditions that had become a major part of my life. Having had such a great time as a Captain, I wanted to be a part of Welcome Weekend again. But this time I want to help integrate the First-Years as part of our university community, not just the hall community. To help teach the traditions of what it means to be sons and daughters of Notre Dame. When I was a first-year myself, this first weekend left me with a great first impression of the university and one that got me excited about the year and years to come. I want to help the first-years this year be left with that same first impression that will set the tone for their next four years here at Notre Dame. Welcome to Notre Dame, and go Irish!

P.s. If you want to spot me during Welcome Weekend, I'll be the one wearing the funky socks.

What is one of your favorite guilty pleasure songs or artists?

"One Step at a Time" by Jordan Sparks. Not ashamed about it in the least. Try jamming out to it in the car with your friends, you won't regret it.

What is the one item that you brought with you to college that you were really grateful you decided to pack?

One item that I’m really glad I brought to college is my portable speaker. I love my music, so being able to bring it wherever I want is really nice. Whether it be into the common room when just hanging out, on the quad when throwing the football around, or with the team when walking over to Rolfs for a Co-Rec basketball game, it’s great being able to bring my music with me anywhere I want.
