Why did you want to be part of Notre Dame's Orientation Steering Committee?

People always talk about being blessed to be a part of the "Notre Dame Family," a unique bond that both unites everyone on campus and transcends the boundaries of our campus into the rest of the world. A student's "birth" into this family begins that special weekend in August, Welcome Weekend. It is a weekend filled with excitement, nerves, joy, awkwardness, and so many other emotions. By being a member of the Orientation Steering Committee, I can work with my fellow committee members to make sure all the events of Welcome Weekend bring students together and promote the spirit of inclusion we seek to cultivate in our community. Every year I look forward to working with the students on the Orientation Steering Committee because every year we fight to prove that every student has a voice and nobody is alone in this ND family.
