Ashley is a junior studying mechanical engineering. On-campus, she lives in Farley Hall, but off-campus she has called many different states home including Florida, South Carolina, Ohio, and Oklahoma! Outside of class, she spends most of her time in campus ministry. Last fall she co-organized and led a retreat for Iron Sharpens Iron, an interdenominational Christian group. She also teaches religious education on Sundays at a local South Bend parish for 8th graders preparing for their confirmation. Her favorite memory from her time at ND is sleeping on Library Quad the night before the Michigan game so she could be in the front row of College Gameday! Her advice for incoming students is to embrace the uncertainty that you have right now. Part of the fun of college is learning something new all the time and getting to know a new place. Don't worry if you do not have everything figured out (you shouldn't!)! Everyone at ND is there to help you reach your fullest potential, whether that is morally, academically, or socially, so NEVER be afraid to ask for help! She is so excited to welcome all the first-years to campus in August! Go Irish!
